Please join us for an informative panel discussion called MedTech: Lessons from the Real World!  Our moderator is Nick Adams, Founder & CEO of Care Thread.  Panelists include Dr. Samuel Dudley, Founder of 3PrimeDx; Robert Rabiner, Founder of IlluminOss Medical; and Eamonn Hobbs, President of Hobbs Medical Ventures.  Each will share their stories of bringing a medtech concept to reality, and the many challenges along the way.  Afterwards, participants will participate in strategic networking to help you connect to resources you may need to grow your own business.  This event includes appetizers and drinks.  We're looking forward to seeing you there!
Speaker Bios:
Nick Adams- Mr. Adams is a healthcare IT entreprenuer and frequent moderator at MedMates forums.  He is currently the CoFounder and CEO of Care Thread, a company which designs, builds and implements web- and mobile-based communication solutions for in-hospital care teams.  His skills include business strategy, brand management, sales and account management as well as contract negotiations.  He was previously affiliated with Giliad Sciences in a variety of sales, marketing and management roles.
Dr. Sam Dudley is the Founder of 3PrimeDx, a leading innovator in the development of a blood test to predict sudden cardiac death risk. The company’s first product is a blood test that discriminates with high predictive power who will and will not need an implanted defibrillator to prevent abnormal heartbeats and subsequent sudden death.  Dr. Dudley is also Director of Lifespan's Cardiovascular Institute and the Levinger Chair in Cardiology at Brown University, where he is also a professor.
Robert Rabiner has led successful product and corporate enterprise launches, acquired and integrated new technologies, and directed external partnerships at a number of medical device companies. Prior to founding IlluminOss, he was president of Selva Medical (sold to WL Gore in 2006), and was founder, president and CEO of OmniSonics Medical Technologies. He has also held executive-level positions at American Cyanamid, United States Healthcare and Hospital Products Ltd, Australia. Mr. Rabiner has been a member of the World Economic Forum’s Technology Pioneers Program since 2003 and is one of Fast Company’s “Fast 50 Champions of Innovation” for his medical technologies. He is the named inventor on 67 issued US patents and has over 80 patents pending.
Eamonn Hobbs is President of Hobbs Medical Ventures, a consulting firm specializing in developing, delivering and implementing solutions for the medical device and combination medical device/pharmaceutical industries.  He also serves as Chairman of the Board for Marvao Medical and a board member of OraSure Technologies.  Mr. Hobbs is an entrepreneurial senior executive with over 30 years of demonstrated success in profitable medical device and combination drug/device product business creation and growth, general management, sales and marketing, and product development.
