Raimondo welcoming GE Digital employees

PROVIDENCE – Gov. Gina M. Raimondo is expected to welcome new employees of GE Digital today during a roundtable discussion that will highlight how the company is prioritizing hiring Rhode Islanders and how TechHire is helping to place tech workers in jobs like these.

Raimondo will be joined by GE Digital’s Chief Technology Officer of Digital Workplace Technology Jeff Monaco, Director of TechHire Rhode Island Damian Ewens and R.I. Commerce Secretary Stefan Pryor during the 2 p.m. discussion at GE Digital’s temporary office at 10 Dorrance St., Suite 700. She also will hear from two recently hired GE Digital employees.

According to information from the governor’s office, GE has made 12 new hires for its Providence location. Nine are from Rhode Island, and three will relocate to Providence to accept this position.
